For the first game of the season the ground has never looked in better shape after workforce day. The grass has had another cut and as usual for the opening games there are one or two heaps of grass that need to be cleared off the outfield. Hopefully most of these will be done Friday

The pavilion has been thoroughly cleaned by Pat and Stuart and the tea ladies are ready to go. The bar is well stocked and all that is needed now is the weather.

To both teams please note that we are playing on the all weather. Due to Health and Safety spikes cannot be used on this wicket. As well as damaging the surface they have a tendency to grip the carpet sending ankles one way and knee ligaments in a different direction
