Despite the majority of us being in lockdown with the sad realisation of potentially no cricket this summer, work continues to prepare the ground for a return to training or maybe even cricket should it be allowed.
Groundsman Alex is keeping the square prepared should a wicket need to be cut.
The outfield is being cut on a regular basis.
Work has begun on cleaning the practice surfaces by committee members.
Painting of the pavilion doors has been done along with repairs to some of the fencing.
Preparations are being made to install an electric fence to enable us to keep the cattle away from the parking area on Match/Training days.
The club's committee is meeting via a video call every 2/3 weeks to make sure we are staying on top of things.
We hope to be able to make net sessions available for senior players soon, these sessions will need to be booked slots and limited to 2 people! Plus we are looking at the possibility of 1 hour, one to one, coaching sessions for juniors!
We will of course keep everyone updated as much as we can! In the mean time stay safe and we hope to see you at one of our Sunday Socials soon.
