It is an honour and a privilege to become the new chairman of Thrumpton Cricket Club. When I first joined Thrumpton nearly twenty five years ago, I could never have imagined that one day I would hold this role.

I firstly want to take a moment to thank the outgoing Chairman, Friend, Former Teammate & Coach and absolute club legend Mark Priestley, the work and commitment Mark has put into this club during his time as Chairman has been incredible.

We've had some tough times over the years, plus a pandemic and Mark has guided the club through all of this, coming out the other side as the growing and successful social club we are today.

Thank you Mark for everything and I look forward to sharing a Thatchers with you over the summer. I hope I can continue the legacy you have begun to create.

Over the past few years since the pandemic we have been steadily growing the club and returning to our social and family club ethos.

With our successful National Programmes and the development of our Junior section we have now surpassed the 100 Juniors mark.

Last year saw the launch of our Ladies Section and what a success it was! We now look to increase and grow our Women's and Girls Section.

Our club committee has grown to 21 members this year to help develop the club even further.

We have some really exciting plans and exciting announcements to come very soon, so please make sure you are registered on the website and follow us across all our social media platforms.

Lastly, if anyone would like to become involved with our club, please don't hesitate to speak to me! We are always grateful for any help people can give!
