Roger Wilson 1940-2009

Roger was born in Thrumpton August 1940. He joined the cricket club and played for the club from

a young age and continued as a supporter all his life. His mother Norah was a member of the Shaw

family who have played such a big part in the life of Thrumpton Cricket Club for so many years.

Roger was a keen amateur archaeologist and spent many years authenticating Thrumpton's

connection to the Iron Age and Roman eras.
