September 28th 1867 Mr Hargreaves XI v Mr C Daft XI
On Saturday last a match was played on the ground adjoining Thrumpton Hall between sides chosen by Mr Hangreaves and Mr C Daft. It had been arranged for an XI got together by Mr Hangreaves to play an XI of Duffield.
Owing to some misunderstanding the latter did not turn up, and to prevent disappointment, the match in question was played and C.Clifton, Mr Hargreaves, the Rev FA Charles and Yeomans batted uncommonly well for their respective runs.
An excellent dinner was provided on the ground by Captain Byron and the match enjoyed.

May 27th 1867 Barton United v Langley Mill
This match was played at Barton on Monday May 27th and ended in favour of Langley Mill by 26 runs. McIntyres Innings was a very fine one, barring the chance he gave when he had scored just 4 runs. Skevington played in good form for his 11, but through the excellent bowling of Oliver and Butler, no other good scores could be made on the part of Barton. W Butler in the first and G Reckless in the Second Innings played in good form for their respective scores, but no other could make any stand. the bowling of McIntyre being too good for them.
