8. Feb 14 Argentine National Coach meets the Badger
The Thrumpton cap is really going places. He not only went to Argentina, he's now their No 1 cricket fan after interviewing the National Coach
His latest message reads
Well the trip to Argentina is nearing its end but I still managed to catch up with Toby Bailey, Argentinas National Coach and ask how he feels preparation for the big tournament has gone. I popped a couple of questions to him and then he kindly posed for a picture..............everyone loves the Badger!!!!
How has the preparation for WCL 5 gone?
We have been able to train in our own cricket season which has been great. We have been playing matches against an English touring side and between ourselves for the six weeks. The temperature and humidity that we have been training and playing in, is similar to Singapore so it is definitely a huge advantage for us. Every player has improved during this intense period, especially our younger players who took part in the recent ICC Americas Latin Americas Academy.
Who do you see making an impression for Argentina?
We are missing some senior players for the tournament, so it is an opportunity for the younger players and some experienced players coming back into the side to play. The tournament will be no doubt be a challenge for the squad and every player will need to contribute for us to win games.
If the badger is supporting Argentina, then the club are doing the same.
With the cap saying "Well the trip to Argentina is nearing its end" it is rumoured that the taxman has been checking incoming flight details to England. He never gives up.
