Annual General Meeting was held at Thrumpton Hall on Friday November 25th 1988, 20 members attended. The chair was taken by the President Hon. Mr G Seymour. The minutes of the last meeting were read out and signed by the Chairman as a correct record.
Ron Priestley, the fixture secretary gave a report on the averages for the season. The highest averages were BATTING: Trevor Vennett Smith BOWLING: Harry Pick CATCHING & FIELDING Mick Thorpe A vote of thanks was given to Richard Davies for working out the averages.
Mark Priestley said that there was nothing to report by the Social Committee as no events had taken place in the last year.
Congratulations were extended to Andy Footitt for his untiring efforts in organising the lottery tickets which up to date had raised over $1000 and also to Wendy Haslam who personally sold a large amount of the tickets herself. Our thanks also go to Bob Pick for giving back the cricket bat that he had won during the last season.
Steven Pepper, the treasurer gave his report on the financial situation. Income for the year was $1683.73p and the expenditure $628.90p. Subscriptions raised $140 and there were fines of $21. A vote of thanks were given to Steven for keeping the accounts.
The gang mowers are in need of repairing at a cost of $800 plus the sightscreens needed attention. A new screen would cost $500 and the old ones were not worth repairing. It was suggested that someone from Gotham might be able to help. Also needed were new bats, wicket keeping pads and gloves.
A vote was taken for the Players Player of the season and clubman for 1988. Players Player was Dennis Kemp and Clubman was Andy Footitt.

There was an election of a General Committee to comprise of Treasurer, Secretary, Ron Priestley, Mark Priestley, Andy Footitt, Trevor Vennett Smith & Harry Pick. Meetings to be arranged periodically.
Annual subscriptions were to stay at $10 and match fees at 1$. 50p for Juniors and YTS.
In Any Other Business, 2 new members were welcomed to the club. Our usual Club Presentation dinner was arranged for February 28th 1989 to be held at the Wolds Hotel, West Bridgford
Mark Priestley gave a vote of thanks to the ladies who had made the teas for the club throughout the season. Our thanks also to Ivan Adkin for getting the new caps and badges for the team.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to Hon Mr G Seymour for his continued interest and support for the club.
